About this trip
The Selous Game Reserve — now known as Nyerere National Park — is one of the largest protected areas in Africa. Located close to Dar es Salaam it is easily combined with a Zanzibar beach holiday. Selous is unique in offering boat safaris along the Rufiji River where hippos, crocodiles and elephants come to drink. It also has one of Africa's largest wild dog populations. Walking safaris with armed rangers add an extra dimension of adventure.
